In the group you can: -

Post Messages to all runners. These could be requests for a lift to a race, comments on the inadequacy of the committee, suggestions for new club events, items for sale, praise for the new Yahoo group or anything you would like to say to the rest of the members
Put up pictures of races or your kitten
Put up files containing entry forms, race results
and lots more
 
Royston Runners members will receive an invitation to join the group to which we hope you will all respond. We have a number of moderators who have lists of the email addresses of PAID-UP members who will then be accepted.

To get the best from the group we recommend you set up an account with Yahoo. This is non-threatening and free. They ask for some registration details which do not need to identify you. The minimum of details you need to give is your email address which is not passed on by Yahoo.

We also suggest that when you sign up you go for the “Individual Emails” option whereby you get a copy of every posting to the group sent to you. You know what is going on and it is easy to reply to a posting which will be logged on the group. We’ll be giving tips on how to filter your emails into a separate folder as one of the postings.

The yahoo message board for Royston-runners can be accessed online from any computer by using any browser by navigating to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/royston-runners where after using your login to enter you can read and reply to any messages.

If I say any more you will get an attack of mego (my eyes glaze over) so please give it a go.
