The Royston 3K Fun Run. This race is organised as “a fun run” for the people of Royston and replaces the “Royston Fun Run” round the streets of Royston which ceased in 2001 for safety reasons.The 3K race provides a challenge to new and younger runners, taking place over undulating Heath footpaths mainly in view of the Heath Sports Centre. Watch out for the occasional rabbit hole!
FacilitiesThe club has ample showering and changing facilities for everyone to use if they wish.
Please note that all muddy footwear must be removed before entering the sports club
Toilet blocks can be found inside the changing rooms and outside the front of the club near the cricket scoreboards.
The club has a licensed bar and serves food.
Local vendors are usually present selling an assortment of running gear
Car parking is available at the Heath. Please take extreme care and drive very slowly in the area since there will be an unusually large number of children/pedestrians running around. On foot please do not wander in the car parks unnecessarily and do take particular care.
Prizes and Results
All runners receive a momento at the finishing line.
A presentation for the children's prizes for the 3K fun run is held at approximately 12.30pm. |
